I AM: Unity Principle #2
We began our series on returning to the Basics and exploring the 5 Basic Unity Principles. The most powerfully meaningful to us personally is the second of the Basic Unity principles: “Our essence is of God; therefore we are inherently good. The spirit of God lives within each person; therefore all people are inherently good.” The children’s version of the 2nd Principle is simply: “I AM”.
“I AM” – the understanding that this very presence, this essence of goodness, lives and moves and has its being WITHIN ME.
Unity teaches that each person is a unique expression of God created with sacred worth. Living from that awareness transforms our lives and the world. The more we awaken to our divine nature, the more fully God expresses in and through our lives.
